Description gr.teddy 2015-02-06 09:09:31 UTC
The following procedure causes every OO Tool to Crash if executed on a Touchscreen PC:

Open Basic macro IDE
Enter a line
Delete the line -> Crash!

If you stop the Windows Touchscreen Service to disable the Touchscreen functionality, the there is no crash. So the crash is related to the touchscreen functionality even if there is no difference between using the keyboard or the Touchscreen for entering Basic IDE Input.

In Windows 10 I can't find a Windows Touchscreen Service, but in Device Manager I disabled the touch screen driver (HID-compliant touch screen), which disabled the touch screen functionality, but it still crashes! (The Human Interface Device service status is Stopped, and startup type is Manual (trigger start).) If there is another name for the touch screen service I'd really appreciate knowing it.

The closest I have is Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service, which isn't the same thing and stopping it doesn't help.

AOO 4.1.3, Lenovo GS510S Touch 64-bit w/6GB memory and touchscreen.
